Investment Criteria
Hilco Equity Management primarily focuses on investments that meet the following guideline criteria:- Size: Situations requiring $5 million to $20 million in equity capital. Larger equity commitments can be arranged through direct investments by the Fund's limited partners or other co-investment partners.
- Company Profile: Revenues ranging from $20 million to $150 million and a historically demonstrated ability to generate consistent operating profits. Current profitability is not required.
- Market Position: Companies that possess a sustainable competitive advantage in a stable or growing market niche.
- Industry: The Fund's professionals and advisory board members have significant experience in manufacturing, consumer products, business services, and retailing. Investment opportunities in most industries will be considered as long as the Fund's additional investment criteria can be met.
- Structure: Equity or quasi-equity investments.
- Ownership Requirements: Control positions preferred although non-control positions will be considered when an appropriate level of board influence can be obtained and liquidity options protected.
- Investment Horizon: The Fund has a long term investment approach and holding periods will likely range from two to seven years depending on the corporate strategy and the goals of management.
